From Non-Technical to Technical in 2 weeks - Learn the Basics of Programming & Technical Interviews to 2X Your Upskilling Career

$249

This course is designed for career coaches, recruiters and upskilling staff who help software engineers land their dream jobs. The truth is, you are already technical...as your expertise managing relationships, data, and outcomes prove. But if you're like me 5 years ago, you might be hitting an invisible ceiling in your talent career as a non-programmer.

In this short course, my goal is to share the programming skills and technical interview insights that can help you upgrade your talent career. It is also a helpful introduction to new coaches and recruiters who do not have experience with the tech career landscape.

I myself increased my coaching from $27/hr to $150,000/year by learning how to code, and I will share the top skills that have helped me...

1. Increase my performance reviews with technical job seekers by learning their language

2. Increase my job placement rates by being able to support my coaching cohorts with technical interview preparation

3. Increasing the quality of my job seekers' career assets by being able to understand their technical resumes and projects

4. Grow my coaching salary from $40,000 to $80,000/year (and earn an additional $70,000 from part-time coaching and software contracts while spending <40 weeks actually coaching)

5. Receive invitations to share my experience as a technical career coach at Columbia's Business School, to join a top nonprofit's board of advisors, and to become a Forbes 30 Under 30 listee.

Workshop Dates: Thursday, December 2 and December 9th from 12- 2pm

By the end of 4 hours with me over two weekends you will ...

- Be able to host a high-impact webinar about technical job searching, including the ability to walk through the solution of a popular Technical Interview challenge (Reversing a String)- I will walk you through the core components of the technical job search, including hiring seasons, hiring guides for FAANGM+ companies, databases of top apprenticeships and internships, and the leading UMPIRE technical interview strategy. I will share my job search presentation template with you, which you can draw from as you see fit.

- You will build your very own front-end application using React.js and Node.js, two of the most common technologies you will see on your job seekers' resumes and Github. And it will only take you 2 hours. The next time one of your job seekers doubts your feedback because they assume you don't program, you will be able to site your own understanding of React components, Github, unit testing, and foundational software architecture. As a bonus, I will teach you how to automate some of your coaching work by integrating with The Muse's API (i.e. database) to pull in daily job postings and career articles. You can use this experience to upgrade your coaching or can even generate side income by building your own career-related software.

- With your new programming skills, we will review the common mistakes that newly trained devs make in their resumes and projects. You will also gain access to a new database of resources to help your job seekers level up. We will walk through how to identify common gaps - such as a lack of unit testing, a lack of responsiveness, a poor deployment strategy, and poor systems design.

This pricing is set with the idea of your organization covering the cost as a Professional Development expense. If your organization is not willing to cover the cost of this training and the pricing is a barrier to you, please send me an email at amina@joinsector.com for a discount code.
